It is a programme for young people who are already working on climate in their own country, through policy, advocacy or a business. It has two parts.
From December 2026 to February 2027, you join online masterclasses and skills training on EU climate governance, diplomacy, policy writing and communication. Attending this online phase is required. Only participants who complete it go on to Brussels.
From 28 February to 6 March 2027, you spend a week in Brussels. You meet the EU policy community, take part in CEPS Ideas Lab on 4 and 5 March 2027, and join a side programme organised by the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.
Applications are open worldwide. CEPS particularly welcomes applicants from Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Morocco and Tunisia, as well as Albania, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, Central America, Chile, China, Colombia, Georgia, India, Iraq, Israel, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mexico, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Palestine, Peru, Serbia, South Korea, Syria, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine.
Yes, if you are already doing something on climate. CEPS is looking for people with a real initiative, not a long CV. A campaign you run at your university, a proposal you’ve written for your local council or a small green business all count.
No application fee is mentioned.
See our CV guide and our guide on asking for a reference letter.
CEPS tells successful applicants by the end of November 2026. The aim is a gender-balanced group with different backgrounds and lived experiences.
