YPEF Hong Kong is a four-day international forum on how the global economy is changing and what young people can do about it. It is built around Politics, Philosophy and Economics, often called PPE.
The programme has six modules:
Day one is a welcome dinner. The main forum days are 18 and 19 December, with workshops, field visits and mentorship. Day four is the closing.
If your economy ticket costs less than USD 300, the full fare is covered. Outstanding participants may also be invited to keep working with CIPES after the forum.
| Option | Cost | What it includes |

Yes. You must be between 16 and 40.
No language test is listed. The forum runs in English, so you should be comfortable listening, speaking and discussing in English.
Yes. The funded seats are awarded on academic merit and leadership, so leadership counts alongside grades. Student clubs, community projects, a small business or research work all show leadership.
The official page lists US$16.99 next to the fully funded route. All participation fees are non-refundable.
That depends on your passport. CIPES gives participants a personal visa invitation letter where needed. Start your visa application as early as you can once you are accepted.
Pick one of the six modules that connects to your own life or study. If you study economics in Lagos, the future of work in African cities is a strong angle. If you run a small online shop, the digital economy fits. Then say what you want to learn and what you will do with it back home.
Give one concrete leadership example: what you led, how many people it reached, what changed. Numbers make it real. Keep the tone plain and honest.
Fully funded and partially funded seats are awarded on academic merit and leadership. Strong candidates may be invited to a short interview. Questions go to Programs@thecipe.org or the contact form on the CIPES website.
