Diplomacy now happens on screens as much as in embassies. Governments negotiate over AI rules, defend against cyberattacks, and talk to the public on social media. This forum brings together people working on those questions.
The programme includes keynote talks, expert panels, and question-and-answer sessions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital governance, public policy and international relations. It is a two-hour programme, and you can attend in Vancouver or join online.
The official page does not list what the sponsorship covers, such as flights or hotel, or how many sponsored places there are. The committee reviews each application and sends its decision by email.
No age limit is listed on the official page.
No language test is listed. Sessions are in English, so you should follow and discuss topics in English comfortably.
Yes. The forum runs in person in Vancouver and online. Joining online means no visa and no travel, which makes it a practical option from anywhere.
Yes. The funding programme charges US$52, non-refundable. The forum pass costs US$150, also non-refundable. Buying a pass is not an application for funding, and an application for funding is not a ticket. They are two separate routes.
That depends on your passport. The organisers ask anyone who needs a visa to register early, since Canadian visas can take weeks.
Tie the forum to your work or study. A student in international relations could write about how AI is changing negotiation. Someone in IT could write about cybersecurity threats facing their own government. Say clearly what you will take back and share after the forum.
The committee checks your institution, so name your university, employer or organisation clearly and keep your details consistent.
Applications go through an institutional credential check, then a review by the organising committee. The decision comes by email.
