The Southeast Asia Acumen Fellowship 2027 is a funded leadership programme for social entrepreneurs scaling solutions to poverty across Southeast Asia. Selected fellows join regional immersives, virtual learning and a community of builders working on hard social problems.

Acumen can support travel from a city within the participant’s country or region for required sessions, but it does not cover international travel.

Region Southeast Asia
Programme Leadership fellowship
Format Regional immersives and virtual learning
Travel Regional support under the programme rules; no international travel
Deadline 6 December 2026

What is this opportunity?

The fellowship is designed for leaders who have moved beyond an idea and can show that their model works. It helps them make better decisions about growth, leadership, systems and the people their organisation serves.

What you get

  • A funded Acumen leadership programme
  • Practical learning for scaling a social-impact organisation
  • A regional cohort and peer network
  • Travel support within the stated regional limits for required sessions

Who can apply?

  • You are based in or working closely with Southeast Asia.
  • You lead a working initiative that addresses poverty.
  • You have evidence of meaningful impact and are ready to scale.
  • You can attend every required virtual and in-person session.

Can I apply if I will be living outside the region?

The official page says you must be able to participate fully, and international travel is not provided. If you expect to be away, work out whether you can attend without assuming Acumen will pay that travel.

Is the fellowship a salary or grant?

No. It funds the learning experience and eligible programme costs. It is not a salary, and the page does not promise investment in your organisation.

How to apply

  1. Read the official eligibility questions and programme dates.
  2. Check that your location and travel plans fit the attendance rules.
  3. Explain the model you have built and the results it produces.
  4. Describe the next problem you need to solve as a leader.
  5. Submit the application well before the closing date.

Deadline

Applications close on 6 December 2026.

Late submissions caused by internet or technical problems are not accepted, so do not wait until the final day.
