What is this opportunity?

YTH Live Global is run by ETR at the meeting point of youth, technology and health. Your idea can address mental wellbeing, access to reliable information, social connection, sexual health, substance use, healthcare access, safety or another issue affecting young people.

What you get

  • US$5,000 and mentorship for the winning team
  • US$2,000 for the first runner-up
  • US$1,000 for the second runner-up
  • Feedback, visibility and support for the three finalists

Who can apply?

  • Every applicant is aged 18–29 when the form is submitted.
  • You can apply from any country.
  • Your idea is led by young people and uses technology in a practical way.
  • You can submit the application and a three-to-five-minute video in English.

Do I need a finished app?

No. The organisers accept a new idea, an early concept, a prototype or an existing project. Explain the next step you could take with the award.

What counts as technology?

A website, app, game, chatbot, online community, text-message service, digital campaign or learning tool can qualify. The technology should solve a clearly described problem, not exist only for decoration.

How to apply

  1. Choose one youth health or wellbeing problem you understand.
  2. Explain who faces the problem and how young people helped shape the idea.
  3. Describe the technology, what makes it useful and what you would build next.
  4. Record the required three-to-five-minute presentation video.
  5. Submit the online application and video before the Pacific Time deadline.

Deadline

Applications open on 12 October 2026 and close on 1 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Do not leave the video until the final hour. A clear explanation matters more than expensive production.
