The Harvard Aspire Leaders Program 2026 is 100% free. It is a six-week online leadership program for university students and recent graduates, built inside Harvard, with a curriculum shaped by faculty and experts from Harvard, MIT, LSE and Oxford. It is for first-generation or limited-income students, and it is open to people from any country.
You take live, expert-led sessions, learn at your own pace, and join a global community of young leaders. There is no tuition and no application fee, and the application takes about ten minutes.

What is the Aspire Leaders Program?
Aspire Leaders is a leadership development program run by the Aspire Institute, which was founded inside Harvard University. It is built for students who are the first in their family to attend university, or who come from a limited-income background, anywhere in the world.
The program runs fully online over six weeks. You work through a curriculum designed with faculty and experts from Harvard, MIT, LSE and Oxford, join live sessions, and connect with other young leaders from many countries. You do it alongside your studies or work, at your own pace.

Who can apply

Is there an age limit?
No age limit is stated. What matters is that you are a current university student or a recent graduate, and that you are first-generation or from a limited-income background.
Do I need IELTS or TOEFL?
No. There is no English test. The sessions run in English, so you need to follow and take part in English, but you do not send a score.
Can I apply with average grades?
Yes. This is not a grades competition. The program looks at your background and your interest in growing as a leader, not a GPA cut-off. Apply and let your motivation show.

How to make your application stand out
The questions are short, so be specific. Say what you want to lead or change, and give one real example of something you have already done, even something small. A clear, honest answer does more than long, general words.
