ILSPSD is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master that studies how international law deals with security, peace, and sustainable development. You move between partner universities, choose a study track for your third semester, and graduate with a joint degree.
The partner universities are Leuphana University of Lüneburg, the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI), the University of Glasgow, Université libre de Bruxelles, NOVA University Lisbon, and the University of Tartu.
The European Union sets the exact amounts each year, so confirm them on the official ILSPSD scholarship page.
You need proof of English, and your CV, statement, and references must be in English. Check the entry requirements page for accepted tests and scores.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships are competitive, so a solid record helps. If your grades are strong and your motivation is clear, apply. If not, look at the other fully funded master’s scholarships we post.
Documents not in English, Estonian, French, German, Portuguese, or Spanish need a certified English translation. Apostilles are not required.
Explain why international law, security, and sustainable development matter to you, and why your chosen track fits. Connect your past study or work to a clear goal. Keep it plain and specific.
Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in February or March 2027. Early results come in March or April, and final results in April or May 2027.
4 January 2027, 23:59 CET, for scholarship applicants.
Self-funded applicants have until 31 March 2027, but the scholarship closes in January. Avoid uploading at the last minute, and confirm the date on the official ILSPSD page.
