About the program

The Stigler Center brings working journalists to Chicago Booth for a term to study political economy, the place where business, government, and media meet. You get time, funding, and access to world-class researchers, then take all of it back to your newsroom.

• A 14,000 dollar stipend to cover living costs over the 12 weeks
• Visa and SEVIS fees paid for you
• Health insurance arranged through the University of Chicago
• Help finding short-term housing

Who can apply

• Journalists with at least a few years of experience
• Strong English
• A real interest in political economy and how power and money work
